Atletico Madrid are eyeing Norwich City defender Max Aarons.

The Mirror says Atletico Madrid have made Aarons their No.1 if they lose Kieran Trippier this summer.

Trippier is keen on a move back to England this summer, with Manchester United in the market to land him as competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

United have already had one bid rejected but are expected to return with a new offer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his defence.

And with Atletico weighing up potential replacements, Aarons is featuring highly on their list.

In England, United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton have all monitored his progress.

However, Atletico will try to see if a deal can be struck with the Canaries despite their return to the Premier League this summer for around £25million.
