With pre-season set to begin, the Serie A giants have revealed who will make up the backroom staff of 'The Special One' and there are some names that United fans may recognise, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Carlos Lalin, Giovanni Cerra and Stefano Rapetti will all be reunited in Rome, taking up similar roles that they held at Old Trafford.

Lalin is a fitness coach who worked with Mourinho at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Tottenham too, while Cerra is an analyst originally from Rome who has worked with Mourinho at all his English clubs.

Rapetti is a fitness coach who won the treble with Mourinho at Inter Milan and also worked alongside him at Manchester United, but was most recently at Torino and AC Milan under Marco Giampaolo.

Assistant coach Joao Sacramento and goalkeeper coach Nuno Santos have followed the Portuguese boss from north London while he is also reunited with analyst Michele Salzarulo from his previous stint in Italy to complete his staff.
