Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix undergoes ankle surgery
Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix underwent ankle surgery on Friday.
The Rojiblanco forward had been struggling with problems in his right ankle for a long time and the decision was made to operate to try and resolve those problems.
Felix managed just 30 minutes during Portugal's round of 16 exit against Belgium.
As reported by the club, the surgical intervention was carried out on Friday morning in Porto under the supervision of Atletico's medical services.
Felix now has several weeks off after having participated in Euro 2020 before he begins to take the first steps in his recovery.
