Brazil Olympics coach Jardine admits Real Madrid blocked Vinicius Jr selection
Real Madrid have blocked Vinicius Junior from joining Brazil's Olympics squad.
Vinicius Jr hasn't been included in the 22-man squad set to travel to Japan and Brazil head coach Andre Jardine revealed that his club weren't prepared to let their young start go.
The capital city side spoke to their new coach Carlo Ancelotti and decided to refuse to let Vinicius join up with the Olympic side in order to allow the Italian to work with the forward from the first day of pre-season.
Reinier, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid, is included in the squad, though.
More standout names on the list are 38-year-old Dani Alves and Everton's Richarlison.
