Benfica join Marseille battle for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi
Benfica are lining up a move for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
O Jogo says Benfica see the France U21 captain as an ideal midfield addition for next season, earmarking him for a No8 role.
Arsenal are prepared to sell and currently want €20m to part with the 22 year-old.
Benfica rate Guendouzi closer to €10m, though are willing to go higher with club chiefs convinced by the talent and potential of the youngster.
Olympique Marseille are also in talks to sign Guendouzi, who spent last season on-loan with Hertha Berlin, and had a €10m offer rejected by Arsenal earlier this month.
