Rick and Morty Season 5 Cold Open Clip Introduces Rick’s Nemesis

Adult Swim has released the opening sequence for the highly-anticipated fifth season premiere of Rick and Morty, which is slated to make its return this Sunday, June 20.https://i0.wp.com/storage.waploaded.com/images/a7176937fa68278a4ba5b545dfe1867e.jpg The video, which you can check out below, begins with a badly injured Rick as Morty tries to save them from their ship’s failing engine. It also features the arrival of Mr. Nimbus, who introduces himself as Rick’s nemesis from the sea.

Rick and Morty is a half-hour adult animated series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist, Rick, who drags his inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the multiverse. It hails from creators and executive producers Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites) and Dan Harmon (Community).

Before the fourth season premiered in 2019, Rick and Morty had secured its long-term run, with the network ordering 70 new episodes for the series that will be spread over an undetermined number of seasons.

The titular duo is both voiced by Justin Roiland while the rest of the Smith family are voiced by Sarah Chalke as Beth, Chris Parnell as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer as Summer.
