Man Utd star Pogba brushes off praise after France defeated Germany
Manchester United star Paul Pogba brushed aside praise of his performance as France claimed a 1-0 group stage win over Germany at Euro 2020.
Pogba played a key role in the victory for Les Bleus, dictating the game from midfield and playing a key pass in the buildup to the Mats Hummels own goal that won the game for his side.
The creative star, who was named man of the match post-game, played down praise of his display.
"The team performance is the most important thing," Pogba said post-game.
"Without them, I wouldn't have played as well. We all put the effort in.
"We're focused on our jobs on the pitch. We know we need to live up to our tag as world champions and come out on to the pitch with humility.
"When we need to suffer, we do it together and when we attack, we do it together."
