Scotland boss Clarke hits back over not starting Southampton ace Adams
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has hit back at critics of his selection after a 2-0 defeat to the Czech Republic in their first group game at Euro 2020.
Fans were unhappy with Southampton striker Che Adams being on the bench at Hampden Park.
Adams came on in the second half and impressed in the second 45 minutes, but was unable to push the Scots to parity or success against the Czechs.
The Leicester-born striker only recently declared for Scotland, but had scored two goals in his last four international appearances.
Asked about the selection post-game, Clarke told reporters: "Hindsight is a wonderful gift.
"Nobody's got it."
