Why is it so difficult to understand the fact that governments are a reflection of the people they represent?
As a citizen, what’s your role and efforts to better the country? By selling your votes for 1K naira? Supporting old dying men over selfish interests? Supporting an incompetent politician because he’s from your tribe and practices same religion with you?
No representative government can long be much better or much worse than the society it represents. Purify the society and you purify the government. But try to purify the government and you only aggravate failure.
