Maguire trained with his teammates on Thursday after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained near the end of the domestic season.

According to the Daily Mail, Maguire is not fit enough to be in consideration for England's opening group stage game against Croatia.

He is likely to miss their second game against Scotland next Friday as well.

But if there are no setbacks, Maguire is hoping to play a substitute role against Czech Republic in the final group game in 11 days.

He would then be ready to take part in the knockout stage of the tournament, should England get that far.
