Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has hinted at frustration with manager Pep Guardiola's Champions League final tactics.
In defeat to Chelsea, instead of playing either Rodri or Fernandinho in the base of midfield, Guardiola selected Gundogan for the position.
Gundogan was one of City's best players in an advanced position this season - finishing the campaign as top scorer with 17 goals.
"A few days before the final, it became apparent that there is an special idea in the head of the manager," he said in a Germany press conference.
"I tried to make the best of it. It should not be.“
