Juventus better Barcelona contract offer to Lyon attacker Memphis Depay

Juventus have jumped into the Bosman battle for Lyon attacker Memphis Depay.

Off contract at the end of the month, Depay has been in talks with Barcelona about a summer reunion with his former Holland coach Ronald Koeman.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca have made their offer and there was a confidence expressed by president Joan Laporta of a deal being agreed.

However, Juve have now bettered Barca's proposal and are also offering the option of a further year on their three-year proposal.

Depay is now set to decide between the two offers tabled.
