Remilekun Oshodi (born May 19, 1969) known professionally as Remi Surutu, is a Nigerian veteran actress and entrepreneur. She came to limelight for her intriguing role in the movie “Surutu”.

Early Life

Remi Surutu was born on May 14 and originally a native of Ondo State in Nigeria.

She went ro Corona Nursery and primary school Victoria Island and the Federal School of Arts & Science in Lagos.

Career

Remi began her career as a model while modeling for agencies such as Lintas, OBM and thr Concept unit before she delved into acting with rehearsals and shoots done at NTA.

Prior to fame, she had worked at the funeral home, Ebony Casket and also worked inside the Morgue at LASUTH.

She came through professionally with a role in the TV series, Village Headmaster.

She has been involved in numerous television series before she finally settled for the Yoruba speaking sector of the Nigerian movie industry.

Remi became known for her role in the movie “Surutu”.

Ever since she rose to fame, she has featured in numerous movies

She has acted alongside the likes of Rotimi salami, Adunni Ade, Funmi Awelewa, Wunmi Toriola, Mustapha Sholagbade.

Personal Life

Remi remarried on May 19th, 2019 to her heart throb Prince Olasunkanmi Oyeyemi. The event saw the gospel musician, Yinka Ayefele as the guest artist and was also attended by top Nollywood celebrities such as; Folorunsho Adeola, Baba Tee, Bukola Adeeyo and many others.

Sadly, she lost her first daughter in July 2017.
