Liverpool star Mane slams Senegal government after Zambia friendly

Liverpool star Sadio Mane is furious with the Sengalese government after a friendly win over Zambia.

Their international game was interrupted by a blackout that lasted for well over half an hour.

Players were stuck in their dressing room as the Lat Dior Stadium was in total darkness.

Mane, who scored in the matchup, spoke about the delay post-game.

He told Dakaractu: "The Senegalese people deserve better. It's deplorable what happened… For top-level players when you wait 30 to 35 minutes, then get back into the game it's complicated.

"What happened is not worthy of a football country like Senegal. I think they have to do better. And, the state of the ground is also catastrophic!"
