Barcelona intend to offer Ilaix Moriba a new contract this month.
Marca says the 18-year-old midfielder impressed in his opportunities with the first team and, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2022, the Catalans are desperate to tie him down to a long-term deal.
Barcelona will sit down with Moriba in the coming week to offer him a three or four-year deal, although getting him to sign might not be the easiest task.
That's because Moriba is being closely monitored by numerous Premier League clubs whose economic position is a lot stronger than that of Barcelona, which turn the youngster's head.
President Joan Laporta has made it very clear that the club must follow a strict economic budget given their tender situation.
