Social Media Was Sweet In 2015 But Now Is Bitter Because They Demand Good Governance – Mr Macaroni
Online comedian Mr Macaroni has reacted to the ban on Twitter by the Nigerian government. The comedian in a series of Tweets slammed the government noting that they endorsed social media in 2015 but condemn it now when people demand good governance through it.
The comedian shared that the present government has given the people and Nigeria a new name for killings, banditry, economic instability, and dictatorship. Macaroni shared that the present administration has done nothing but make life miserable for Nigerians as the country is filled with several issues.
Since the announcement of the Twitter ban by the federal government yesterday Tweeps have taken to several social media platforms to react describing the move as insensitive and uncalled for. Twitter has also called for the suspension of the ban noting that Nigerians deserve access to free speech.
