Ayanda Borotho is a South African actress and former model best known for playing the title role in the SABC 1 sitcom Nomzamo, from 2007-2010, of which she replaced Zinzile Zungu as well as Phumelele Zungu on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Isibaya.
Early Life
Ayanda Borotho was born on January 13, 1981 in Ntuzuma, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
She went to Brettonhood High School in Umbilo, Durban in South Africa and had obtained a diploma degree from AAA School of Advertising where she majored in integrated Marketing Communications.
Career
Ayanda har passion for ever since she was a kid but her dream soon became a reality after she got a role pf Thumi innthe SABC drama series, Generations in 1999. She also followed it up with a charactwr in Leon Schuster movie, Mr Bones in 2000.
Ayanda also got featured in the SABC sitcom television series, Nomzamo and as Busi in the TV series, Home Affairs in 2007.
She has continued to thrill with her acting prowess and finally came to limelight for her role in Isibaya.
She also became the host of the South African Gospel music show, Mzansi Revival hour in 2014.
Aside acting, she released her book ‘Unbecoming To Become’.
Personal Life
Ayanda got married to a South African doctor, Filike Borotho whom she met in 2012. Their union is blessed with a daughter.
