Arsenal are ready to make a move for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
The Athletic reports a new centre-back is said to be on Arsenal's shopping list this summer, with both Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi leaving the club midway through the season and David Luiz set to depart when his contract expires.
Arsenal are interested in Sevilla's Kounde, but will face a battle to convince the 22-year-old to make the move to the Emirates.
Kounde is coveted by several top European clubs and the report claims it will take a fee of around £50m to persuade Sevilla to let him leave.
The player, meanwhile, is likely to want to join a team in the Champions League, a competition Arsenal have not competed in since Arsene Wenger left the club.
