Arsenal boss Arteta: Kroenke very supportive and passionate about the club
Arsenal director Josh Kroenke has assured manager Mikel Arteta he has the support of the board.
Arsenal beat Brighton 2-0 at the Emirates on Sunday, with Kroenke making a rare appearance in the directors' box at a Gunners match. It was the first time in over a year that the American had watched the north London side in person.
The Daily Express says Arsenal fans again protested against the Kroenkes' ownership both before and during the match against the Seagulls.
But Kroenke has reiterated the club is not for sale despite attempts from Spotify founder Daniel Ek.
Kroenke also visited the club's training ground on Saturday to address the first-team squad.
Arteta says the 41-year-old's passion is clear and is determined to turn things around on the pitch.
"He's very supportive, very passionate about the club and he wants to take the club to a different level," Arteta said at his post-match press conference.
"That's the ambition and that's why he's here."
Asked what he spoke to Kroenke about, Arteta said: "The same that he says every time we are on the phone.
"He's very supportive, very passionate about the club. He wants to take the club to a different level and that's why he's here."
