Drake, Kanye West & Justin Bieber To Skip 2017 GRAMMYs
Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Drake may all sit out the Grammy awards in February, despite each receiving multiple nominations.
Even though Drake is nominated for eight awards, the Canadian will be skipping the ceremony. He won’t be able to attend the GRAMMYs because he will be touring in Europe for the next few weeks.
As for Ye, TMZ reports The Life of Pablo rapper feels the Recording Industry’s awarding system is out of wack. Though he’s la!d claim to 21 statuettes over the span of his career, West never won when he went head-to-head with a white singer. Months ago, Yeezy threatened to skip the show if Frank Ocean wasn’t nominated. Meanwhile, the Blonde singer didn’t even bother submitting his critically-acclaimed album for a Grammy.
Justin Bieber, on the other hand, may be nominated for four Grammys but the Canadian singer is described as having other plans on the day of the awards, February 12th. A source told the TMZ: “He just doesn’t think the Grammys are relevant or representative, especially when it comes to young singers.”
