Francis Duru is a renowned Nigerian movie actor, master of ceremony, model, comedian, movie director, television personality, investor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur.

Early Life

The renowned Nigerian movie actor Francis Duru was born in the late ’70s to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Duru in Cameroon.

Born on 26th April 1978, Francis had both his elementary and high school education in Cameroon.

In Cameroon, he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate as well.

Later, Duru proceeded to the prestigious University of Port Harcourt (UniPort). Therein, he studied and bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts in 1996.

Early Career

The renowned Nigerian movie actor Francis Duru joined the Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood in 1996.

Of course, this was after his graduation. He started attending movie auditions on graduation.

Later, he bagged a role in a movie which later became a Nollywood blockbuster movie in 1997.

“RattleSnake,” a movie that brought Francis to limelight and a movie produced by Amaka Igwe. A movie rated as one of the most produced movies in Nigeria brought Francis to limelight.
