Santos forward Kaio Jorge is interesting Arsenal ahead of the summer market.

ESPN says the 19-year-old has worked his way up the academy with the Brazilian Serie A side, breaking through last year to now have 12 goals in 68 appearances.

With seven strikes for national U19 side also on his tally, the fact the forward's contract runs out in December is attracting Arsenal to a budget deal for Jorge.

Former Brazil striker Andre Cruz told Napoli TV of the youngster: “A couple of months ago they asked me, in an interview, the name of a player who is ready for Europe. I answered Kaio Jorge. He has technique, movement and, above all, he is a goalscorer. The Italian championship, however, is difficult. He will have to adapt to the mentality.

“Who does Kaio Jorge look like? In him I see a little of Abel Balbo (a 1990 World Cup finalist with Argentina) and a little of Shevchenko."
