Ivie Okujaye is a Nigerian actress, producer, scriptwriter and singer who rose to fame after emerging as the winer of the Amstel Malta Box Office reality TV show in 2009.
The talented actress who was born on 16th May 1987, is sometimes called the Little Genevieve as people identifies her with a striking resemblance with the Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji.
Background
Ivie Okujaye was born on the 16th of May 1987, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Her father hails from Delta State, while her mother hails from Edo State. She is the last of her parents’ five children. Ivie grew up in Benin but relocated to Abuja at the age of ten.
Ivie went to primary school at Our Ladies of Apostle Private School, while she had her secondary education at Queen’s College, Lagos. After obtaining her WAEC certificate, she proceeded to the University of Abuja to obtain a degree in Economics.
Ivie Okujaye is married to Ezie Egbo, and they are blessed with two lovely daughters.
Career
Ivie’s parents initially wanted her to study medicine because there are several medical practitioners in her family. Ivie came into the Nigerian entertainment industry through the Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) platform. Since her entrance into the industry, she has continually worked hard to stay relevant in the industry.
Her first role as an actress was in the movie, Alero’s Symphony, where she acted with a popular R&B singer, Faze. In 2014, she produced her debut movie, Make a Move. This movie was successful and highly accepted that it earned her awards. Since then, she has been acting and producing movies that make a difference and impact lives.
