Joe Mettle has his birth name as Joseph Oscar Mettle. He is a famous Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter.

He was born on 5 July 1971 to the parents of Florence Addo and Emmanuel Mettle. Joe is the eldest in a family of six children. Joe, though a marketer by profession, is a worshiper by calling.

Educational Background

Joe had his elementary and higher education in Accra, Ghana where he obtained his primary and senior high school certificates respectively.

Prior his higher education, Joe studied draftsmanship at the Modern School of Draftsmanship (MODESCO).

He later attended the Pentecost University College, a private Christian University College, Sowutuom in Accra, Ghana.

Career

Joe Mettle began his gospel music journey dated back to his young age as a singer when he worked as a backing vocalist for some Ghanaian Gospel icons like Cindy Thompson, late Danny Nettey, and Reverend Tom Bright Davies.

Joe Mettle was the lead singer for the indigenous multi-cultural music group, Soul Winners.

Joe Mettle is happily married to Salomey Selassie Dzisa in a colourful traditional marriage ceremony in Accra Ghana in August 13, 2020.The official wedding ceremony took place in Tema, also in Ghana.
