Kofi Adu, also widely known as Agya Koo, is a popular award-winning Ghanaian actor and comedian who has featured in several Ghallywood movies.

He was born on May 25, 1969. Adu hails from the Ashanti Region of Ghana, but lived in a suburb in Accra New town called Asantewaa where he had his elementary and higher education respectively.

Acting Career

Kofi Adu worked as a shoemaker before he delved into professional acting in Ghana some years ago, playing brilliant roles in movies.

Adu was discovered on a Ghanaian comedy show on GTV (Ghana National Television) at the National Theater in Accra, where he worked as a comedian thrilling the crowd before any event is staged.

The Ghanaian born comic actor and superstar is creative, skillful and highly talented, gifted in interpreting roles in movies. He is known for comedy roles in most movies.

In an interview, Kofi revealed that he is exceptionally gifted as God’s abundant talents in him allow him to improvise a script without necessarily taking a week or two to go through before shooting.

Awards and Recognition

In July 2008, the talented actor was awarded a National Award by the then-Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor in 2008.

Personal Life

In June 2016, Adu happily got remarried to Rita Asiedu in London, UK after dating for 4 years. He was said to have previously married Victoria Owusu Adomako but the marriage ended up in divorce with the blessing of three children.
