Asavela Mngqithi is a South African actress and music artist born on June 4, 1996. She became known for her role as Ntwenhle on Mzansi Magic soapie, Isibaya.

Asavela was born on June 4, 1996 in Durban, a city in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Her father, Manqoba Mngqithi. She grew up in Lamontville where she learned to speak the isiZulu language. She is also fluent in in speaking isiXhosa.

She attended AFDA College where she studied Camera and Editing.

Asavela developed passion for acting at a very tender age.

She came to limelight for her role as Ntwenhle on Mzansi Magic soapie, Isibaya.
