Xi Jinping was born in Beijing, China in June 1953. He graduated from Tsinghua University. He is referred to as China's "paramount leader" for his positions. Xi Jinping served as the governor of Fujian from 1999 to 2002 and was governor and party secretary of Zhejiang from 2002 to 2007. He is the Chairman of the CCP's Central Leading Group on Internet Security and Informatization. Xi Jinping assumed office as Chairman of the Central Military Commission's Party Commission in 2012 and State Commission in 2013. He became the President of the People's Republic of China in March 2013 and the General secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in November 2012.
