Biography & Career Of Ernest Asuzu

Ernest Asuzu widely known as El-Cream, is a renowned actor, producer, director, musician, rapper and a television personality.

He was born in Imo State, date and year of his birth not known. He hails from Imo state in south eastern Nigeria but had his up-bringing in Lagos state.

Educational Background

Ernest Asuzu had his primary and secondary education in Lagos state. After obtaining his first and secondary school certificates respectively, he settled down as a full time actor.

Acting Career

Ernest began his acting career in the 90’s after joining the Nigerian Movie Industry.

He rose to fame and recognition in Nollywood after starring in a hit movie “Another Campus Queen”.

He became more famous after featuring in a number of movies including “Rituals”, a movie that was produced by Kenneth Nnebue.

Ernest has so far acted over 100 movies since Joining Nollywood. Some of his movies include Royal War, Living Abroad, Ogidan, Burning Desire, Never End, Broad Day Light, Last Wedding, Ugonna and the famous hit movie Labista which earned him an award for best supporting actor at the African Movie Academy Awards.

He is known to acts alongside the big stars in the industry like Junior Pope Odonwodo, Zubby Michael, Sylvester Madu, Jim Iyke, Emma Ehumadu, Gentle Jack and other celebrities.

He is creative, skillful and exceptionally talented Nollywood actor. He is good at interpreting movie roles and can as well accept any character in movies. He is known to acts as criminal, bad boy and hit man in most action movies.

Recently, he was reported to have quitted acting for other profession, perhaps music as rapper. He released his first hit single “Go Under”, a music widely acclaimed as successful.

Personal Life

Ernest married his wife Jennifer Asuzu in 2010. Nothing much is known about his family. However, like any other human being, he has had a painful moment in life. He was rumoured to have had mental disturbance which his lovely wife, Jennifer debunked saying that her husband was mentally sound.

She again admitted that he suffered from stroke; an ailment she claimed came from nowhere but finally confirmed that her husband has been treated, healed, hale and hearty.
