The fast rising talent the world awaits, Edwin Ubah Azubuike popularly known as Rafa is a Nigerian singer and songwriter with numerous hit singles to his credit.

Rafa is quite gifted and creative with amazing vocals to compliment.

He is an element of good lyrics infused with his unique Afro-pop sound.

Early Life & Background

Rafa was born on July 16.

He was born and raised in Benue State but originally hails from Oji-River local government area in Enugu State.

He attended Shalom Academy for his secondary education and also obtained a degree in Mass Communication at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).

Azubuike had always played football and basketball but his love for music had grew overtime.

Music Career

Rafa started doing music at the early stage while playing musical instruments such as Keyboards and drums in church.

He developed his passion for music while listening to the likes Bob Marley, Wande Coal, Usher, Drake, 2face, Craig David and so on.

He came to limelight with his hit single titled “Ulala” featuring the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) heavyweight, Ichaba.

The talented singer also came through with his cover for Wande Coal‘s song “Again” and sure it’s quite a fascinating one with good delivery.

The singer boast of other singles such as “Let Go” produced by Jmartins, “Ada”, “Desire”, “True Colour” and so on.

Rafa has also worked with lots of top artists which include the likes of Runtown, Tspize, Jmartins, Phyno, Jstuntz and many others.

Ever since he rose to prominence, he has been dishing out hits after hits and music fans can’t simply wait for his upcoming releases including that with Mayorkun on “Spend” remix.

He also released his highly anticipated collaboration with the American singer, Bow Wow titled “Spend” on December 18, 2020.
