Makhadzi whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona is an award winning South African singer songwriter and dancer born on June 30, 1996. She is a music artist with numerous hit singles and collaborations with top artists.
Early Life & Background
Makhadzi was born in Ha-Mashamba Tshivhangani, a small village outside Elim in Limpopo province. Her parents parted ways when she was small which made her and other two siblings stayed with their mother.
She attended Mukula Integrated School where she completed her grade 12. She has a qualification in Public Relations She’s studying Drama at The State Theatre in Pretoria.
Makhadzi started out as a dancer at a tender age of 12. She joined the Makirikiri Musical Group in 2010. She later discovered her passion for music and began being around the music studio.
As a singer, she became known for her hit singles “Tshanda Vhuya” and “Matorokisi”.
She has also released other songs such as; Tshelede Iya Hana, Riya Venda, Ahuna and so on.
She came through with her first album in 2012 and already boast of over 6 albums.
She has performed in countries like Zimbabwe, Mozambique and France. Her performance at the 2020 DSTV Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards was rated as one of the best performances of the night on social media platforms.
She has also enjoyed interviews with numerous radio stations such as Phalaphala FM, Nzhelele FM, Sloot FM, Munghana Lonene FM and so on.
Nakhadzi has worked with Sho Madjozi on “Ro Rali” and “Limpopo Champions League”.
She also gets inspired by the likes of Prince Kaybee, DJ Ganyani and DJ Tira.
Makhadzi was said to be in a relationship with her usual collaborator and music producer, Master KG. Although the two seem that have confirmed that they are just friends.
Awards & Nominations
Makhadzi won the Best Tshivenda hit at LMAC (2017).
She got four nominations; Best Tshivenda Dance Artist/Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Tshivenda Song of the Year and Best Tshivenda Artist of the Year at the Tshima Awards (2018).
