Bidemi Kosoko is her real name. She is a popular Nollywood actress known for her amazing roles in Yoruba movies.

She was born on the 21st of October 1988 into an entertainment and Royal family of Kosoko in Lagos, comprising the veteran actor Jide Kosoko, the late Herientta Kosoko and Sola Kosoko.

Bidemi hails from Isale Eko, Lagos Island in Lagos State.

Educational Background

Bidemi Kosoko had her primary education at the Army Children School and Jibowu High School before finally rounded up her secondary education at Mainland High School, Lagos for her first and secondary school certificates respectively.

She later went to study Theatre Arts at the Lagos State University in 2011.

Her Acting Career

Bidemi Kosoko who has a strong passion for acting started her career dated back to her primary school days but was launched into the movie scene professionally in the year 2000 when she joined her father’s acting group known then as JKT Theatre Group, Babscus.

She was shot to fame in a movie “Oun Oko Somida”, a movie she played the role of a bad child against her mother.

Bidemi is creative, skillful and highly talented Nollywood actress. She is gifted in interpreting roles in movies and can as well accept any character assigned her in most movies.

Bidemi is also a producer. She successfully produced her first movie “Sikemi” and several other movies.

She revealed that the most challenging movie in her life was “Korikoto”, a traditional movie produced by the renowned Yoruba actor Adebayo Tijani. She said it was very stressful for her due probably to her little or no exposure to the Yoruba tradition and culture at the time.

Bidemi also revealed that her father’s influence played a big role in her eventual success in the movie industry.
