Chadwick Boseman celebrates his birthday on the set of Avengers: Infinity War in a newly-released behind-the-scenes video. Coming off from the massive success of Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, the actor's next outing as T'Challa was in the Joe and Anthony Russo 2018 film where he and the rest of the Wakanda helped in the fight against Thanos.

In late August 2020, news broke out that Boseman has died of colon cancer to the surprise of Hollywood and his fans all over the world. At only 43 years old, there were no indications that he was battling personal health issues in the last few years. He remained active, filming a string of movies such as Marshall, Da 5 Bloods, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. Aside from that, he also starred in four MCU movies as T'Challa which must've been physically exhausting considering the action set pieces he had to be involved in.

Boseman would've been 44 years old on his birthday this past November 29, and as a way to commemorate the actor and celebrate his legacy, his MCU co-star, Mark Ruffalo shared a video of him celebrating his birthday on the set of Infinity War. In the caption, the Hulk actor wrote that he wishes they could go back to this joyous moment. Watch the clip below:

Considering the people on the set that day, the scene they were filming for Infinity War was most likely Captain America and the Secret Avengers' arrival in Wakanda following their rescue of Wanda and Vision. In the clip, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, and Danai Gurira can be seen greeting Boseman; director Anthony Russo is also spotted on the side. Ruffalo more likely took the video that's why he's not seen in it. At this point, Boseman was already secretly battling colon cancer as he was diagnosed with the condition sometime in 2016 and this was taken November of 2017. Looking at the video, one could only imagine what he was going through privately; still, he looked jovial and happy to be celebrating his birthday.

Aside from the obvious massive void he left in the MCU, Boseman's death is also a massive loss for the industry in general. While he's best known for playing a superhero, his prolific career is more than him playing Black Panther in several Marvel films including Avengers: Infinity War. Over the years, he's brilliantly played Black icons on the big screen like Jackie Robinson and James Brown, as well. He's a proponent of diversity and proper cultural representation in Hollywood which is needed now more than ever. Outside of his craft, Boseman had taken the time to reach out to his fans, especially kids who could use inspiration and motivation from someone who's as accomplished as him.
