Alex Ekubo Okwaraeke is a popular Nigerian actor, model and television personality born on 10th April 1986.
Early Life
He hails from Arochukwu, Abia state part of Nigeria and attended Federal Government College Daura in Kaduna state for his secondary education before proceeding to the University of Calabar where he studied Law and also a diploma in Mass Communication from Calabar Polytechnic in cross river state, Nigeria.
Career
He joined the Nigerian movie industry in 2005 where he acted his first movie “Sinners in the House” produced and directed by Lancelot Oduwa Imaseun.
The handsome actor came to limelight with the blockbuster movie “Ladies Men” and since then, he has acted in more than 50 Nollywood movies including True Citizens, Undercover lover, Dream Walker, Weekend Getaway, Gold Diggin, All that Glitters, Diary of a Lagos girl, single married and complicated and many others.
Alex Ekubo (Sometimes spelt as Alexx Ekubo) has won several awards including; Best actor in a supporting role at the Best of Nollywood awards, Most promising actor in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood awards, Best supporting actor at the Golden Icon Academy Movie awards, Favorite Male Emerging screen talent at the Creen Nation awards.
Apart from acting, the talented actor had contest for Mr. Nigerian pageant hosted by Silverbird Television and emerged as the first runner-up and had also had a cameo appearance from Yemi Alade’s “Johnny” video.
