Tyler Lee Hoechlin is an American actor. Initially earning recognition for starring as Michael Sullivan Jr. in the 2002 film Road to Perdition, Hoechlin went on to star as Martin Brewer on 7th Heaven between 2003 and 2007.
Tyler Hoechlin was born in Corona, California, and began acting when he was in elementary school. He went on to appear in such projects as "Family Tree", "Train Quest", "Road to Perdition", for which he won multiple acting honors – including the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor, "Grizzly Rage", "CSI: Miami", "Solstice", "My Boys", "Castle", "Open Gate", "Hall Pass", and "Melvin Smarty". He is most widely recognized for his co-starring role as Martin Brewer on the hit series, "7th Heaven", and for his performance as Derek Hale on the hit MTV series, "Teen Wolf". He appeared in 63 episodes of Teen Wolf between 2011 and 2017. An accomplished athlete who began playing baseball when he was seven, Tyler Hoechlin also went on to play college baseball for Arizona State University and the Battle Creek Bombers of the Northwoods League. He also played for the University of California – Irvine.
