Yemi Alade Early Life, Education And Career

Yemi Eberechi Alade Best known Professionally as Yemi Alade was born on 13th March, 1989 in Abia State. She was born to a Nigerian parents, Her father, James Alade was a police commissioner and a native of Ondo state Nigeria, while her mother Helen Uzoma is from the Igbo decent in Nigeria. Yemi is the fifth of seven children.

Yemi competed her primary school education at Savior British Primary School and obtained her first school leaving certificate, she then proceeded to Victory Grammar School in Lagos where she obtained her West Africa Senior School Certificate.

After completing her secondary school education at Victory Crammer School in Lagos, She proceeded to University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she graduated with a degree in Geography.

Music Career

She began her music career in an all-girl music group with the name “Noty Spices” in 2005. Yemi Alade became known when she won the Peak Talent Show in 2009 and that was the biggest opportunity that brought her to the present fame and success in career she enjoys today. She later release her first official single “Fimisile” under the Jus’ Kiddin’ Label. In 2012 she was signed to Effyzzie Music Group, where she released her hit single “Ghen Ghen Love”.

She later released three singles from King of Queens Album: “Johnny”, “Tangerine”, and “Kissing”. Johnny produce by Selebobo was a hit in many countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, South Africa, Liberia, Uganda and United Kingdom. Johnny receive massive Airplay in many media houses across the world.

The song was a commercial and a career success for Yemi Alade as it became song of the year, regardless of its late entry. The Video was released in March 2014, it was produce and directed by veteran producer Clarence peter. It had over 32million views on YouTube as at December of 2015, making her the first female entertainer to hit over one million youtube subscribers.
