Sakina Kamwendo is an award winning South African On-Air-Personality born on September 26. She is well known as the host of AM live, SAfm’s flagship show.
Kamwendo also worked at Metro FM where she hosted Metro FM “Talk with Sakina”.
Sakina Kamwendo attended Stanwest secondary school for her secondary education and proceeded to the University of the Witwatersrand.
Kamwendo started her radio career while at a community station in Eldorado Park, Radio Eldos.
She came to limelight after Talk Radio 702 permitted her to screen calls for the overnight show of which she later evolved to weekends and breakfast shows.
She eventually worked full time at the Maths Centre. She became a traffic reporter at the David O’Sullivan show of which she later left the Maths Centre in order to concentrate fully on broadcasting.
Sakian Kamwendo is happily married and blessed with four children.
Her daughter had passed away and all the entire AM live management and staff at SABC took out time to console her on twitter:
