Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Crystal Palace and the Ivory Coast national team. Zaha advanced into the Crystal Palace first team from their academy, in 2010.
Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast in 1992, he was only four years old when his family moved to London. He started playing soccer at school and at the age of 12 he joined the Crystal palace academy. He signed a two year contract and played there until 2013. In 2012 he received the honor of being voted The Football League's Young Player of the Year award. He won the award again the next year, and his manager decided to play him as a striker. In 2013 Wilifried Zaha joined Manchester United of the Premier League. However, he was immediately loaned back to his former club Crystal Palace. He did not make his debut for Manchester United until July of 2013. After falling out of favor with his manager, he was loaned to Cardiff City in January 2014 for the rest of the season. Zaha made the choice to play for the England national team. He was also eligible to play for his home country Cote d'Ivoire. He has played for the English national team since 2011.
