Pres. Jonathan Fires NPA Boss, Appoints Lamido Ado Bayero

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday sacked the managing director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mallam Habib Abdullahi, and replaced him with Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero, the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero.


Presidential spokesman, Dr Reuben Abati, who announced this in a statement he issued yesterday night, did not give reasons why Abdullahi was removed.


He said Ado Bayero’s appointment as the new NPA managing director takes effect from today, Thursday, April 30 2015.

According to the statement made available to LEADERSHIP, Alhaji Sanusi is a lawyer from Kano State.
