Actor IK Ogbonna Reveals He Doesn’t Like To Be Seen As A Nollywood Lover Boy

Actor IK Ogbonna is one of the top actors in Nollywood today and he continues to make giant strides in his chosen career.


The stylish actor who is synonymous with his urbane and suave outfits sure knows how to step out in style. The Actor in a recent interview has lamented how he’s been asked by different directors to play similar roles in several movies.

He revealed that to change this perception of the lover boy stereotype created, he decided to switch it up and play the role of a village boy in the first movie he produced.

Explaining further, he revealed that he’s played different roles in movies and decided to play the role of a typical village boy which he felt would change the perception of him as a ‘Lover Boy’.

The light skinned actor further revealed that the motivation behind the ideology of the movie comes from his beautiful wife, Sonia Ogbonna who has forced him to save in order to make the movie dream a reality.

IK’s movie ‘Excess Luggage’ features other top actors including Mike Ezunruonye, Queen Nwokoye and veteran actor, Fred Amata.
