The Boys season 2 blooper video features as much swearing as the actual show.. Amazon Prime's The Boys highlights what it's like to live in a world filled with dangerously unhinged superheroes. Although the series concluded season 2 with a mind-blowing finale earlier this month, fans are already eager for more content.

While the underlying season 2 plot follows The Boys' dogged attempts to bring down Vought's superhero empire, the show excels at weaving in other side stories. To that end, there has been a particularly heavy focus on relationships this season, included that of Becca (Shantel VanSanten) and Billy (Karl Urban), as well as Homelander (Antony Starr) and Ryan (Cameron Crovetti). However, The Boys is also known for taking creative risks, and season 2 certainly delivered. This past season certainly had its share of heartwarming moments, but consisted of everything from exploding heads to impaled whales as well.

The Boys was renewed for season 3 before season 2 had even premiered, which highlights Amazon's enduring faith in the series. Many season 3 story details remain under lock and key, but new episodes will likely dive deeper into Vought's twisted history, as well as Victoria Neuman's (Claudia Doumit) plans. In addition, the upcoming season will feature a new supe -- Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy is set to appear alongside his superhero team Payback. The Boys season 3 is said to begin production in early 2021, so hopefully some more details come to light in the near future.

The Boys season 2 was a wild ride from start to finish, and it will undoubtedly be difficult to one-up. Considering showrunner Eric Kripke is returning for season 3, though, fans can expect to see The Boys' trademark humor paired with plenty of blood, gore, and guts.
