The Nigerian music industry is a competitive music space just like the rest micro music industries in the world. The likes of Burna Boy and Davido amongst others have been on each other's case over who is the real GOAT in recent times.

Just a few weeks ago, before the #ENDSARS protests took another phase, Davido claimed Burna Boy and Wizkid are ganging up against him alleging that his absence on Beyonce's The Gift album is not accidental. He revealed this while having a chat with the host of Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Ebuka. Recall in May 2020, Davido admitted via his Twitter handle that he and Wizkid are the two greatest of all time (GOAT) neglecting Burna Boy.

David "Davido" Adeleke is a Nigerian pop star who rose to prominence following the success of his single "Dami Duro" from his debut studio album "Omo Baba Olowo" which was released in 2012. The afrobeat singer who was previously signed to HKN music flagged off his journey as a record label executive when he launched his own imprint Davido Music Worldwide in 2016. He later bagged a record deal with Sony Music and RCA records all in the same year. After ironing out contract issues with Sony Music in 2017, Davido had his first international breakthrough with five singles including "IF" and "Fall". These two hit singles opened another door for the international singer. Today, Davido has bagged so many local and international awards including BET awards in 2018 for the International Act category.

Davido as of today, has so many hit tracks to his name including; "FEM", 'Blow My Mind", only to mention but a few.

Burna Boy who is officially known as Damini Ogulu is a world-class musician whose materials have been embraced by many across the globe. He is widely known for his conscious effort to tell the African story in the most real form. His debut hit track, "Like To Party" was released in 2012. The single which came off his debut album "L.I.F.E" gave him the necessary exposure needed to thrive. The 29 years BET awards winner got a boost in 2019 when his fourth studio album "African Giant" was shortlisted as one of the albums nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. His most recent project "Twice as Tall" came with some hit tracks as well. Burna Boy might not really have so many hit singles, but he sure has amazing projects that could stand the test of time.
