Yemi Alade Wears N2.5 Million Zuhair Murad Dress to The 2016 BET Awards

Nigerian diva Yemi Alade attended the 2016 BET Awards and made a bold fashion statement on the red carpet wearing a piece from celebrated designer Zuhair Murad’s 2016 Resort Collection. The dress the Effyzzie Music diva wore reportedly cost a staggering sum ofN2,500,000.

The “Na Gode” singer who was nominated for the “Best International Act: Africa” wore minimal make-up and jewelry and allowed the expensive dress do all the talking. Yemi Alade who released her praised jewelry collection last year, will also be unveiling her fashion label “House of Tangerine (H.O.T)”, at the 2016 African Fashion Week Nigeria and London.

Priyanka Chopra wore a white embellished strapless gown by Zuhair Murad at her maiden Oscars in 2016 which broke the internet; and other celebrities who have won Zuhair Murad dresses to top award ceremonies include Michelle Obama, Beyoncé Knowles, Marion Cotillard, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Ivana Trump, Jennifer Lopez, Kellie Pickler, Shakira, Katy Perry, Christina Applegate,Vanessa Williams and Christina Aguilera.
Yemi Alade lost the award for “Best International Act: Africa” to South Africa’s “Black Coffee”.
