Man United Coach Solskjaer Told To Sign Harry Kane

Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, has asked the club to sign Harry Kane instead of Jadon Sancho.https://i0.wp.com/storage.waploaded.com/images/e1beb4d7f84ad5d92ef7e84fd43e0a7b.jpg

The Red Devils have been all summer with the Borussia Dortmund forward, but have so far failed to agree a fee for Sancho.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are now closing in on the signing of Uruguay striker, Edinson Cavani.

Cavani will arrive at Old Trafford a short-term deal, after being let go by Paris Saint-Germain.

Although a big fan of Sancho, Rooney says Solskjaer should be looking to spend big on a long-term No.9.

“Jadon Sancho is a top player. But I find it odd that he has been Manchester United’s transfer priority,” Rooney wrote in his column for The Sunday Times.

“Why consider paying close to £100million for someone similar to talent you’ve got already? United have Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial and where would Sancho’s arrival leave Mason Greenwood, who plays in the same position and is of similar age?

“I’d rather put that £100million towards trying to get Harry Kane.

“Kane is exactly what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs, as is Erling Haaland, who United missed out on last year — a genuine No 9.”

United host Spurs in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
