Edinson Cavini Rejected 16 Million From Juventus
Europe’s top teams are struggling to convince Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan is reported to have rejected a two-year deal, at 8 million euros per season, from Juventus.
Edinson Cavani is one of the biggest prizes on the market. After finishing his contract with PSG, he is free to sign for any team without having to pay a transfer fee.
But Cavani is playing hard to get. His move to Benfica broke down and now he is awaiting more offers. Meanwhile, the Uruguayan has already rejected Juventus.
Tancredo Palermi, Italian journalist and contributor to ‘beIN Sports’ and ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, explained that Edinson Cavani has turned down Juventus’ offer.
Juve offered him eight million euros for two seasons, a number which was not to the former PSG striker’s liking.
Cavani, at 33, is looking for his last big contract in Europe. That’s why he asked Juventus for a three year contract at a rate of nine million euros per season.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid have stayed at the head of the race to sign the Uruguayan. He is plan ‘B’ if Luis Suárez does not end up going to the Madrid side.
