Gareth Bale Was Not In Real Madrid Training On Thursday

The squad had another training session at Real Madrid’s training complex ahead of their La Liga opener away to Real Sociedad on Sunday (21:00 CET). The team trained under strict rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Real Madrid get their La Liga campaign underway this weekend. Their first match is against Real Sociedad and Zidane’s men will be looking to start with a win.

Thursday’s training session began with warm up drills without the ball. Afterwards, ‘Los Blancos’ practised possession and pressure before playing matches on a small sized pitch.

Finally, they worked on their finishing. Jovic did part of the session with the rest of the group while Isco, Asensio and Hazard did specific exercises on the pitch. Lucas Vazquez, Militao and Bale worked indoors and Mariano is still continuing with his recovery process.

Gareth Bale could leave Real Madrid. Tottenham are reportedly close to getting him on loan for 22 million euros, according to the British press. ‘AS’ says that Bale has reportedly even said goodbye to the rest of the Real Madrid squad.
