Ronald Koeman Sheds Light On Barca’s Economic Situation

Ronald Koeman didn’t hold back during the interview he gave to ‘Fox Sports’. The new Barcelona manager confirmed that unless they sell, it will be impossible to sign Depay. Also, he made it clear that what happened with Messi is now in the past.

It seems like Ronald Koeman wants to leave all that’s happened at FC Barcelona during the last months in the past. The Dutchman wants to start with a clean slate with regards to some of the problems that have plagued Barcelona recently.

The new Barca head coach has made it clear that he has no issues with Leo Messi: “What happened was a conflict between Messi and the club. I have spoken with him and we will continue on as always”.

Koeman was clear and concise during the interview with “Fox Sports”, including his explanation of how the club’s economic situation is holding him back from making some key big signings.

The Dutchman is hoping to make more signings, but for now, the club’s economic situation is preventing him from doing so. He knows this all too well, and for now, is waiting patiently until they can sell some players.

“First we have to sell before Depay can come”, he said bluntly, knowing that the start of the competition is right around the corner.

He also isn’t expecting too many changes and is aware of the fact that the foundation of the team will stay the same. “Now we are working towards the new season and I suppose that we are going to do so with the group that we have now”, he explained.
