Belinda Effah is an award-winning Nigerian actress, presenter, and filmmaker. The seasoned actress is also the CEO of House of Belinda (HOB), a fashion outlet in Abuja.

Belinda Effah Background

Belinda Effah was born on the 14th of December 1989, in Cross River State, Southern Nigeria. She attended Hillside International Nursery and Primary School, then went on to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Port Harcourt. After secondary school, she proceeded to the University of Calabar, where she studied Genetics and Bio-Technology.

Belinda Effah Career

For Belinda, acting had always been a passion. As a young girl, she would write stories for her sisters and friends to read. Also, while she was in primary school, she was good at mimicking people. Unknown to her, she was grooming herself for a great future in Nollywood.

Her first movie as an actress was The Room, an Efik language movie, which aired on DSTV. Afterwards, she contested in a Reality TV show and qualified to the final stage, but didn’t emerge as the winner.

She continued going for auditions but didn’t get a role until 2011 when she featured in Tales of Eves. It was this movie that propelled her to the limelight. Since then, Belinda has been making waves in the Nigerian movie industry.

As a filmmaker/producer, Belinda recently premiered her movie, Miracle. She desires that the movie should be a tool of change and empowerment for young people. Belinda used to be a TV presenter at Sound City, a Nigerian entertainment cable station. After a while, she left Sound City to start her own TV show, Lunch Break with Belinda.
