Mohamed Salah Hamed Mahrous Ghaly is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Liverpool and the Egypt national team. Considered one of the best players in the world, he is known for his finishing, dribbling, and speed.

Early Life

Born to a family that loved sports, Salah soon imbibed these interests from his family. His father, as well as his uncles, were particularly interested in football. Salah spent just two seasons at Basel, winning the Swiss Superleague in both seasons. In January 2014, he moved to Chelsea for about £11 million. After Salah was exempted for compulsory military service in Egypt, he appeared in just three games for Chelsea in his first season before he was loaned to Florentina.

Florentina’s deal with Chelsea meant Salah will spend 18 months at the Serie A club. But after spending the 2015 season with the club, he was loaned to Roma.
