Grammy Awards Gives Accolades To Davido, Says He’s Expanding Afrobeats Reach

Nigerian singer, Davido has gained worldwide recognition after Grammy Recording Academy took to their twitter page to shower encomuim on the OBO for expanding afrobeats reach to global listeners.

He was engaged in an interview The Recording Academy in Los Angeles where he spoke about what the fans should expect from his upcoming album.

He said: “I just fell in love with African music. I was like, ‘Yo, I think I want to do African music. And it worked out. If I would have rapped, I’d probably still be at home.”

Taking to their official Twitter page, Grammy congratulated Davido for his efforts in elevating the music culture.

The tweet reads:

“Afrobeat star Davido opens up about furthering Nigeria’s cultural impact and how the pandemic and the BlackLivesMovement movement has personally impacted him.”
