Do you recall that some A-list Nigerian actors were at a point in time banned from Nollywood for charging exorbitantly before featuring in a movie?
The report which surfaced at that time indicated these stars thought they were indispensable and it’s around their persona that the movie industry revolved so they monopolized the industry with their high demand. Eventually, when producers started protesting, they decided to hammer them with that punishment.
Consequently, the likes of Ramsey Nouah, Jim Iyke, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, and RMD, were banned by marketers for charging huge fees in 2004.
